There is an issue in version 2021.2.1 causing commands issued from Java clients to fail to serialize, and thereby being ignored by the runner.
This has been fixed in 2021.2.2
If you are using Java, please ensure you grab the latest starter pack, or update your clone of the repo if you are using that.
The infrastructure has also been updated, and so your simulation matches should now successfully run.
